To start at the very beginning we must step back in time... to 1947. The year when the mobile phone was first sketched out when the government decided to nationalise the coal industry and the year of yet another royal wedding (this time for Queen Elizabeth). A time when a gallon of petrol or a pint of beer set you back 3-4 shillings, with there being 20 shillings in a £1! The picture of Bellamys in 1947 gives a good idea of just how far we have come.
